bond.video Terms of Service

Effective October 30, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and bond.video. bond.video is run by gcrft123, a sole proprietorship in Austin, Texas, doing business as bond.video. "We," "us," and "our" mean bond.video. "You" means the person using bond.video, and the business you use it for, if any.

The Terms cover bond.video, app.bond.video, the tutorial at app.bond.video/tour, and the emails we send. Together we call these the "Service." Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Section 18 requires you and us to resolve most disputes through individual arbitration, not in court, and waives class actions and jury trials. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as section 18.8 explains.

1. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you click a button or check a box that says you agree to them, such as when you sign in for the first time, choose a plan, or approve or sign a document. If you don't agree, you must not use the Service.

If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that business, and the business is bound by them.

2. Who can use the Service

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you, and is responsible for your use of the Service.
  • A contract signed through the Service binds only a person who has the legal capacity to make that contract. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign any contract for you.
  • You must not use the Service if we have closed your account before, or if the law forbids you from using it.

The Service is built for businesses and people in the United States. Prices are in U.S. dollars.

3. Contractors and clients

  • A contractor runs a business on the Service. The account that sets up the business is its owner. On a plan that includes teammates, the owner may invite teammates, who work in the business's clients, projects, and documents.
  • A client is a person a contractor works with, who opens documents the contractor shares.

These Terms apply to both. Sections 6, 7, and 9 apply mostly to contractors. Section 10 applies to clients.

4. Your account

  • You sign in with a code or link we email you. You must keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account.
  • You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You must tell us at support@bond.video right away if you think someone has used your account without permission.
  • An account belongs to one business at a time.
  • The owner of a business is responsible for what its teammates do in it. The owner controls the business's settings, plan, and team, and may remove a teammate at any time.

5. What bond.video is, and what it isn't

bond.video is software for writing, sharing, signing, and tracking quotes, contracts, change orders, and invoices. It helps a contractor and a client make agreements with each other.

  • We are not a party to your agreements. A contract made through the Service is between the contractor and the client only. We are not responsible for whether either side performs, pays, or delivers, and we don't take part in disputes between them.
  • We don't give legal, tax, or financial advice. Our templates are starting points. They might not fit your work, your state, or your situation. You are responsible for the content of your documents, including the tax rates you set. Consider having a lawyer review your contracts.
  • We don't handle payments between contractors and clients. Invoices show payment instructions that the contractor writes. We don't process, hold, or guarantee those payments, and we don't verify payment instructions. A client must confirm payment instructions with the contractor before paying if anything looks wrong.
  • Deliverable links point to other services, such as Frame.io, Vimeo, or Google Drive. We don't host, check, or control what's at those links.

6. Electronic signatures and records

  • By using the Service to approve or sign a document, you agree to do business electronically, and you agree that your electronic signature is as binding as your handwritten signature. This consent is given under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act and the Texas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, or the equivalent law where you live.
  • You agree to receive documents, notices, and records about the Service electronically. You may withdraw this consent by closing your account. If you are a client, you may withdraw it by asking the contractor to stop sending you documents. To get a paper copy of a document, print it or download its PDF, or ask the other party to the agreement.
  • Each signature records the details listed in our Privacy Policy, including the signer's email address, IP address, and the time, and prints them on the signed document's audit page.
  • Some agreements can't be signed electronically under the law, or need extra formalities. The contractor is responsible for deciding whether an electronic signature is right for each agreement.
  • Editing a signed version of a contract clears its signatures, and the contract must be signed again.

7. Plans, billing, and refunds

7.1 Plans

We offer a Free plan and paid plans. The plan page in the app lists each plan's price and features, including any charge for seats past the ones a plan includes. We may change which features each plan includes. If we remove a feature from a paid plan you pay for, we will tell you at least 30 days before.

7.2 Paying

  • Paid plans are billed monthly, in advance, through Stripe. Stripe's terms also apply to your payment.
  • Prices don't include sales tax. We add any tax that applies.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. By choosing a paid plan, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method each month.
  • Adding or removing a teammate past your plan's included seats changes your next bill, which charges or credits the part of the month left.
  • Moving to a higher plan charges the difference for the rest of the month right away. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for.
  • You can cancel at any time under Business → Plan → Change plan → Downgrade to Free. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, and then moves to Free.

7.3 Refunds

Payments are not refundable, including for a partly used month, except where the law requires a refund. A credit under section 7.2 goes toward a future bill and isn't paid out.

7.4 Price changes

We may change the price of a paid plan. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. If you don't want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect.

7.5 Missed payments, disputes, and fraud

  • If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it still fails, your plan moves to Free.
  • If you dispute a charge with your bank, or Stripe warns us that a charge may be fraudulent, we may end your subscription immediately. If Stripe warns of possible fraud, we refund that charge.

7.6 Moving to a lower plan

When a business moves to a plan with fewer features:

  • Saved templates stay, but you can use them again only after you upgrade.
  • Your logo and brand color stay on documents made before the change, but not on new ones.
  • On Free, only one project can be active at a time. You can archive projects to make room.
  • Teammates lose access until the business's plan includes teammates again.

We don't delete your documents because you moved to a lower plan.

7.7 Early access

An early access code can be redeemed once, by one account. While the account has early access, it gets every feature of our plans, including plan features we add later, at no charge. It doesn't include add-ons we sell separately from the plans. A code has no cash value, and it gives no rights to the business of a teammate. We may revoke early access at any time. If we do, the account moves to the Free plan, and section 7.6 applies.

8. Your content

"Your content" means everything you put into the Service: documents, comments, suggestions, client details, logos, signatures, updates, links, and templates.

  • You own your content. These Terms don't give us ownership of it.
  • You give us permission to use your content to run the Service. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, display, and send your content, and to render it as PDFs and emails, only as needed to provide the Service to you and the people you share it with. This license ends when your content is deleted, except as section 13 and our Privacy Policy describe.
  • You must have the right to use your content. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for the content you upload, including logos, and for any personal information you enter about clients or others.
  • You are responsible for following the law when you collect and use your clients' personal information.
  • Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without paying you or owing you anything.

9. Rules for using the Service

You must not use the Service to:

  • Break any law, or help someone else break one.
  • Defraud anyone, including by sending invoices for work that wasn't agreed to, or payment instructions that send money to someone other than the business named on the invoice.
  • Send spam, or share documents with people who don't expect them.
  • Pretend to be another person or business, or misstate who you are.
  • Upload content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, or sexually exploits minors.
  • Upload viruses or other harmful code.
  • Collect information that you don't need for your work with a client, such as Social Security numbers, health information, or full card numbers.

You also must not:

  • Try to get into any account, document, or system you aren't allowed to access.
  • Probe, scan, or test the Service's security, or get around its limits, such as sign-in limits.
  • Copy, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Overload or disrupt the Service.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service.

If you break these rules, we may remove content, suspend your account, or close it, as section 13 explains.

10. Clients

  • A client opens documents through a link or portal code that the contractor controls. The contractor decides what the client can do (view, comment, or edit) and may change or end that access at any time.
  • A client link signs in the person it was made for. You must not forward a client link to someone else.
  • A client's comments, suggestions, edits, approvals, and signatures are recorded in the document's history, and the contractor can see them.
  • A client's questions about a document, a project, or a payment go to the contractor, not to us.

11. Our property

The Service, including its software, design, and the bond.video name and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. These Terms don't give you any other rights to it. You must not use the bond.video name or logo without our written permission, except to refer to the Service.

12. Changes to the Service

The Service is new and changes often. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If we decide to shut down the Service, we will email account holders at least 30 days before, so you can download your documents.

13. Ending your account

  • You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, email support@bond.video from the account's email address. If you pay for a plan, cancel it first.

  • We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if:

    • you break these Terms;
    • you don't pay;
    • the law requires it; or
    • your use creates a risk or legal exposure for us, our users, or others.

Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

  • After an account ends, we delete its data as our Privacy Policy describes. We keep executed contracts and their signature records for up to 7 years after signing, so either party can still prove the agreement.

  • Sections 5, 8 (the feedback part), 13 to 19, and any payment you owe continue after your account ends.

14. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@bond.video with:

  • the work you believe is infringed;
  • where the content is on the Service;
  • your contact details;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the copyright or may act for its owner; and
  • your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove the content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

15. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DON'T PROMISE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT IT WILL NEVER LOSE DATA, THAT EMAILS WILL BE DELIVERED, OR THAT ANY TEMPLATE, CALCULATION, OR DOCUMENT IS LEGALLY SUFFICIENT OR CORRECT FOR YOUR PURPOSE. You must check your documents, totals, and taxes before you send them, and keep your own copies of important documents.

Some states don't allow these disclaimers, so some of them might not apply to you.

16. Limits on our liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:

  1. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.
  2. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY AGREEMENT, PAYMENT, OR DISPUTE BETWEEN A CONTRACTOR AND A CLIENT.
  3. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.

These limits apply to every kind of claim, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise. They don't limit liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud or intentional misconduct. Some states don't allow these limits, so some of them might not apply to you.

17. Your responsibility for claims against us

If a third party makes a claim against us because of your content, your agreements or dealings with your clients, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of the law, you must defend us and pay the losses, damages, and reasonable legal fees that result. This doesn't apply to the extent the claim is caused by our own breach of these Terms, negligence, or misconduct.

When this section applies:

  1. Notice: We must tell you about the claim promptly.
  2. Control: You may control the defense, using a lawyer we reasonably accept. We may take part with our own lawyer, at our own cost.
  3. Settlement: You must not settle a claim in a way that admits fault for us or requires us to act, without our written consent.

18. Resolving disputes

18.1 Talk to us first

Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, other than a request for a court order under the second item in section 18.4, the party with the complaint must send the other a written notice that describes the dispute and the relief wanted. Send notices to us at support@bond.video and PO Box 91062, Austin, TX 78709. We will send notices to the email address on your account. Both parties must try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 30 days after the notice arrives.

18.2 Arbitration

If the dispute isn't resolved within 30 days, you and we agree to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service (a "Dispute") by binding individual arbitration, not in court. This includes Disputes about whether something must be arbitrated, except as section 18.5 says. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

18.3 How arbitration works

  • The American Arbitration Association (AAA) runs the arbitration under its Consumer Arbitration Rules if you use the Service mainly for personal reasons, and under its Commercial Arbitration Rules otherwise. The rules are at adr.org.
  • One arbitrator decides the Dispute and may award the same individual relief a court could.
  • The arbitration takes place by video, by phone, or on written submissions, unless the arbitrator decides an in-person hearing is needed. An in-person hearing takes place in Hays County, Texas, or, under the Consumer Rules, in the county where you live.
  • The AAA's rules decide who pays filing and arbitrator fees. For a Dispute under $10,000, we will pay all AAA filing, administration, and arbitrator fees, unless the arbitrator finds your claim frivolous.

18.4 What isn't arbitrated

Either party may:

  • bring an individual claim in small claims court, if it qualifies; and
  • ask a court to stop someone from infringing intellectual property or misusing the Service.

18.5 No class actions and no jury

You and we may bring claims against each other only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator must not combine more than one person's claims or preside over any class or representative proceeding. You and we both waive any right to a jury trial.

If a court decides that this section 18.5 can't be enforced for a particular claim, then that claim, and only that claim, must go to court, not arbitration, and the court must wait to decide it until the arbitration of the other claims ends.

18.6 Time limit

To the extent the law allows, a claim must be brought within two years after it arises, or it is barred.

18.7 Courts

Any Dispute that goes to court, and any action to enforce an arbitration award, must be brought in the state or federal courts in Hays County, Texas. You and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction.

18.8 Opting out

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. To opt out, email support@bond.video or mail PO Box 91062, Austin, TX 78709, with your name, your account's email address, and a clear statement that you want to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, the rest of these Terms still apply, and Disputes go to the courts named in section 18.7.

18.9 Changes to this section

If we change section 18, the change doesn't apply to a Dispute that either party gave notice of before the change. You may reject a change to section 18 by emailing us within 30 days after it takes effect, and the earlier version will apply to you.

19. General terms

  • Governing law. Texas law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the Federal Arbitration Act applies.
  • Changes to these Terms. We may change these Terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you don't agree, you must stop using the Service.
  • Whole agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service, and replace any earlier agreement about it.
  • Transfer. You must not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them to whoever acquires bond.video or the Service.
  • Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and the unenforceable part is changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable. Section 18.5 has its own rule.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a right, we haven't given it up.
  • Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events we can't reasonably control, such as outages at our providers, natural disasters, or acts of government.
  • Notices. We send notices to the email address on your account. You send notices to support@bond.video, and for section 18, also to our mailing address.
  • No third-party rights. These Terms don't give rights to anyone other than you and us.
